In August 2022, ParcelShield, in partnership with URAC, discussed the latest Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation Program standards. URAC is slated to release version 5.0 of its Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation Program standards in the fall of 2022.
Our speaker, Heather Bonome, PharmD, Director of Pharmacy, provided an overview of the URAC accreditation review process, dove into URAC’s Specialty Pharmacy operations standards, and previewed the upcoming changes to standard requirements. Heather discussed what organizations need to do to demonstrate compliance with the new URAC 5.0 standards.
URAC accreditation remains the gold standard in pharmacy accreditation. Their Specialty Pharmacy accreditation continues to be recognized by payers and manufacturers as a validation of their commitment to high-quality pharmacy practice.
